It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of John Thrumble at the age of 91. John will be lovingly missed by his daughter Linda; son-in-law Dennis Impey; granddaughter Amanda; grandson-in-law Cory Enns; and great-grandson Austin. He leaves behind his brothers, Colin and David (Yvette); and sister Susan (Mike Brady). John was predeceased by the love of his life Elsie; daughter Ann; and grandson Daniel Impey; also his sisters-in-law, Lois and Janette; and nephew John.
Going to all Daniel and Amanda’s hockey games and other sports gave him joy and pride in his grandchildren. John’s biggest passion after spending time with his family was soccer. Watching soccer with his brother David and friend Brian McCann, cheering on “his” team, Liverpool, was the highlight of the week.
John was a very friendly, kind, and loving person who made friends wherever he went. He will be missed by family and friends in England and Canada.
Thanks to all his doctors and the staff at HSC for taking such good care of John in his final days.
A Celebration of Life, reception, and viewing will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to your favourite charity.
